FAQs

Everything You Need to Know Before Getting Started

What types of clients do you work with?

Currently, we offer services for individual teens (16+) and adults. We are committed to supporting each person’s unique journey and providing tailored care for their specific needs. In the future, we look forward to expanding our offerings to include relationship and couples counseling, along with additional services, to further support your holistic well-being.

Where do you provide therapy and other services?

All of our services are provided virtually, allowing us to work with clients from the comfort of their own space. We currently offer therapy and other services to residents of Nevada, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. NOTE: Nutrition services are not available for Nevada at this time.

What is the payment process for therapy sessions?

Payment for therapy is processed at the time of each session. To streamline the process, we keep a secure credit card on file, which will be charged automatically following your appointment.

I believe that therapy should be accessible to individuals from all walks of life. I offer a limited number of sliding scale appointments based on financial need. If you’d like to explore this option, please reach out to discuss current openings and possibilities.

What is a good faith estimate?

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit this website.

Do you accept insurance?

Sage and Bloom Wellness does not accept insurance. This decision allows us to focus on providing the highest quality care without the limitations imposed by insurance companies. Insurance often requires a formal diagnosis, and based on that diagnosis, they limit the number of sessions you can have.

Additionally, insurance companies operate within a purely medical model, which does not align with our holistic approach to treating the whole person. We believe in treating the mind, body, and soul together, and working outside of insurance allows us to offer personalized care that best supports your long-term well-being.

For clients who wish to use their out-of-network benefits, you can easily check your coverage using the benefits verification tool below.

This tool will help you determine if you're eligible for reimbursement and makes it simple to potentially get up to 80% of your payments reimbursed.

NOTE:
there is no guarantee that insurance will cover or reimburse sessions. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please reach out! We’re happy to help!

How long will I be in therapy?

Estimating how long your therapeutic journey will take is like trying to predict the weather – it's influenced by a bunch of different factors! These factors include things like what you're going through, how often we chat, scheduling, your budget, and even how much you put into our sessions outside of our talks.

We’ve had some folks chat with us for just a few sessions, while others have been part of our holistic healing family for years. We'll figure out the path together, adjusting as we go along to match what you need and where you're headed. : )

What is your cancellation policy?

In the event that you need to cancel or reschedule your session, we kindly request a notice period of at least 24 hours. Should you need to make changes with less than 24 hours notice or you miss your session, a fee of $150 will be applied. We reserve your appointment spot exclusively for your benefit, and providing this advance notice enables us to extend the opportunity to another individual who may be seeking our services. Your consideration in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Do you offer sliding scale rates?
